Job Title: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy/GI Procedures Location: New York, NY 10016 Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4 × 10‑hour shifts; no weekends; holiday shifts as scheduled) Compensation: $2,925 per week Type: Contract Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal (GI) Procedures to join our acute care team in central Manhattan. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of two years of endoscopy/GI experience within an acute hospital setting and possess strong competencies in IV insertion, phlebotomy, and conscious sedation. Key Responsibilities Collaborate during GI and endoscopic procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort Administer and closely monitor conscious sedation throughout procedures Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy with precision and care Monitor patients during pre- and post-procedure phases, including vital signs and recovery assessments Work alongside physicians and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care Maintain accurate, timely documentation of patient records and procedural details Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and infection control standards Educate patients on procedure preparation and post-care instructions Required Qualifications Licensure & Certifications Active New York State RN license (Primary Source Verification required) AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Experience Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in GI/Endoscopy within an acute care environment Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy Hands-on experience with conscious sedation, including administration and monitoring
