Overview
School Moves/Preschool Moves is an on-location dance studio that brings dance classes into schools and the community. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our dynamic team for our Newton location. The ideal candidate will have a background in dance, a love of kids, be engaging, patient and reliable. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in developing students' skills, confidence, and appreciation for the art of dance.

Availability: Mondays 3:15pm - 4:15pm and/or Every Tuesday & Thursday Afternoon 3:15pm-4:45pm

Must have at least one year of Dance teaching experience

Experience with children ages Preschool - 2nd grade is a plus.

Duties

• Executing lesson plans, while creating an engaging, fun, nurturing atmosphere for different age groups, including preschoolers and/or elementary age students.
• Teach various dance styles, ensuring students grasp fundamental techniques while encouraging personal expression.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes learning and creativity.

Pay is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• Experience in dance instruction in at least one style of dance (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, pre-ballet etc.).
• Experience working with preschool-aged and elementary school-aged children is preferred. Background in early childhood education is a plus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to educate and inspire students effectively.
• Dependable and reliable.
