About this Role:

The role of the Local Assistance Cash Reconciliation and Projection Specialist is to act as the lead relating to Federal Draws, Prop 35 cash activities, the Cash Management Information Act (CMIA) quarterly reports, cash, appropriation, and grant issues; and is tasked to perform analytical, forecasting, planning and/or advisory duties in the areas of accounting and fiscal forecasting that requires independence and proficiency in handling complex and difficult assignments.The incumbent’s work will contribute to the successful accomplishment of the mission of the Financial Management Division (FMD) by leading, training, and assisting the Cash Flow Reporting and Cash Management Team with other responsibilities of this position that provide essential assistance to special projects and the day-to-day functions of Fiscal.

Statement of Qualifications Requirement Section

Applicants must include a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for this recruitment. The SOQ is a narrative discussion, not a cover letter, prepared by the applicant describing how their skills, knowledge, abilities, education, training, and experience, qualify them for the position. The SOQ serves as documentation of the applicant’s ability to present information clearly and provide DHCS additional information about their experience and qualifications concisely in writing. The DHCS may not consider applicants who fail to provide an SOQ with their application.  Resumes do not take the place of the SOQ.

1. Describe your experience working on multiple projects with tight deadlines. What were the challenges you encountered, and how did you address them? What was the outcome?

2. Describe your experience in analytical type of work, conducting complex reconciliation, problem-solving, researching, interpreting data, and providing recommendations to management and staff.

Telework Information

This position may be eligible for telework up to three days per week and is required to report in-person and site-based a minimum of two days per week.
