Job Description

Fishbowl is a leading industry, top supplier of manufacturing and warehouse management software for small, medium, and enterprise sized businesses across 40+ verticals. While our mission is to deliver amazing software, service, training, and support to our customers to help them grow and scale their business operations, our passion is helping people. Whether you are new to owning and operating a business, or you have been at it for 20+ years, Fishbowl provides simplicity and flow for business owners and makes it easier for them to focus on what they love most, running their business.

As we work to expand our team, Fishbowl is looking for individuals who are highly collaborative, carry diverse skill sets, love problem solving, and understand the value of working on a high-performing, goal-oriented team. Our HQ offices are based in Orem, UT, but this role, and most of our roles, have a hybrid or fully remote choice. As a team, we focus on results; not on where those results are achieved. May it be at the office, on a beach, or in the comfort of your own home.

About the Role

We’re looking for a hands-on UX/UI Designer who thrives at the intersection of user empathy, design systems, and complex workflows. In this role, you’ll partner across product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to transform intricate business processes into elegant, intuitive digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  •   Customer-Driven Discovery: Lead interviews and usability tests in diverse field settings to uncover unmet needs and “jobs to be done.”
  •   End-to-End Experience Design: Prototype multi-step workflows and simplifying complexity into intuitive interfaces.
  •   Design System Leadership: Establish and maintain a scalable, accessible design system in Figma (or similar) to ensure consistency across web and mobile while enabling rapid iteration.
  •   Cross-Functional Collaboration: Embed with product and engineering squads for pixel-perfect implementation, and partner with product, sales, and leadership to prioritize features that maximize user and business value.
  •   Design Advocacy: Champion design excellence by leading critiques, facilitating workshops, and evangelizing user-centered thinking. Present research insights and prototypes to stakeholders at all levels.
  •   Measure & Iterate: Define success metrics (NPS, task completion, error rates), analyze feedback and usage data, and continuously iterate to optimize the user experience.

Qualifications

  •   Experience
  •  5-7+ years leading UI/UX or product design in B2B or enterprise-scale environments; fintech or logistics experience is a plus.
  •   Mastery of Figma and rapid prototyping tools.
  •   Experience with or knowledge of specific AI/ML tools and platforms
  •   Experience working with analytics frameworks like Datadog
  •   Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, front-end frameworks, and component libraries.
  •   Designing, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests to validate design decisions, optimize user flows, and drive data-informed improvements to the UX
  •   Core Skills
  •   Expertise in breaking down complex, multi-stage processes into simple, user-friendly flows.
  •   Skilled in qualitative research (interviews, surveys, contextual inquiry) and translating findings into actionable designs.
  •   Strong communication and storytelling — able to sketch concepts, script user flows, and present confidently to engineers, PMs, and executives.
  •   Comfortable with ambiguity, adaptable to shifting priorities, and motivated to deliver high-impact features in a fast-paced environment.
  •   A customer-first mindset, with the ability to draw from a broad range of design and product influences.
  •   Bonus Points
  •   Turned a design library into workable source for Claude Code (or equivalent).
  •   Experience building a design system, team, or philosophy from the ground up.
  •   Background in product management or engineering.
