SUMMARY

We are looking for a smart, experienced, and motivated Social Media Writer to join our Columbus team.

The Social Media Writer brings social-first creative instincts and craft skills to creative problem solving, expanding the agency’s strategic creative capabilities.

This is a hybrid work from home/office position (in-office attendance is required on Tuesdays & Thursdays) and the candidate must live near Columbus, OH.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Imagine creative ideas that leverage social media channels and culture
  • Understand and draft off of a brand creative platform
  • Concept with other creative talent and present ideas to creative directors
  • Build social assets that are social-platform ready
  • Create social assets in social platforms as appropriate
  • Effectively use brand’s social voice in content, community management or other social venues
  • Write and build (and in a pinch design) social assets
  • Use generative AI to gap fill executions, or for other uses
  • Utilize basic animation and/or basic video editing for social executions
  • Understand client brands in order to create assets that are on campaign
  • Be a connoisseur of social trends, platform dynamics, and mobile technology

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • 1-2 years of experience in a social writing and/or copywriting role or equivalent
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills tailored for social media platforms
  • Ability to craft compelling, concise, and engaging copy that aligns with brand voice
  • Experience with writing for various formats (captions, tweets, threads, short-form articles, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, Threads) and their best practices
  • Ability to work closely with marketing, design, and content studio team

WHAT YOU'LL GET

  • The overall target range of base compensation for this role is $64,500 - $70,000. Compensation offered will be determined by additional factors such as location and experience
