Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automotive service department. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate with customers, assess their vehicle's needs, and coordinate service appointments. Duties: Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues Schedule service appointments and ensure efficient workflow in the service department Communicate with technicians to relay customer concerns and vehicle information Provide accurate estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely delivery of necessary parts Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle repairs Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions Qualifications: Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is preferred Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems Familiarity with common automotive repair services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, shocks, and struts Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Proficient computer skills for data entry and record keeping Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages for qualified candidates.
