Job Summary:


This role is for a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care to neonates in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The nurse will perform patient assessments, administer medications, participate in treatment planning, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Providing direct patient care to neonates in the NICU.
- Performing comprehensive patient assessments.
- Administering medications and treatments as ordered.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Monitoring vital signs and other physiological parameters.
- Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Educating parents and families about their infant's condition and care.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Responding to emergencies and providing critical care as needed.


Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field.
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Neonatal Intensive Care experience (specific experience level not stated).
