Job Description

Janitors are responsible for making sure the school facility looks neat and presentable to the public and students . They help uphold the image of a facility by performing basic maintenance tasks including trash removal, restroom restocks and general staff support.

Skills, Education, and Experience Required:

• High School Diploma or at least two years of experience in similar jobs.
• Must be team orientated and able to work with diverse backgrounds. 
• Must have time management skills and complete assigned projects within specified time frame. 
• Physical stamina/ ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with common cleaning supplies and hand tools
• Ability to work outdoors
• Friendly demeanor

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms and other common areas
• Spot mop floors and place caution signs
• Vacuum rugs/spot clean carpet with carpet machine
• Wipe down window glass and door handles
• Dust fixtures, countertops, and other surfaces
• Empty trash from outside eating areas and inside classrooms
• Service restrooms and restock paper supplies
• Dust mop gym floor and mop when needed
