Responsibilities and Duties - Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for construction projects, utilizing software such as Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam Revu, and other construction estimating tools.
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documents to determine all necessary labor, material, and time requirements.
- Develop and present comprehensive material and project cost estimates to clients and management.
- Negotiate with clients to agree on project scope, pricing, and timing.
- Prepare and submit bids and proposals for projects.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates and bids.
- Ensure all estimates are compliant with company price pages, standard details, and job specifications.
- Work collaboratively with project managers, clients, and internal teams throughout the estimating process.
Qualifications and Requirements - Proven Experience in reading and interp(eting technical documents to include drawings, specifications, blueprints, etc.
- Experience as an Estimator, preferably within the commercial construction or roofing industry a plus.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating software, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Bluebeam Revu and/or Topview estimating software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting estimates and bids to both clients and internal management.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and manage client relationships.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Conditions This role is based in our Jacksonville, FL location with standard business hours.
