Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structural Steel Detailing Manager to oversee our team of structural steel detailers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the detailing process from start to finish, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The Structural Steel Detailing Manager will work closely with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure that project requirements are met and that all parties are satisfied with the end result.

Key Responsibilities :

• Follow Detailing Checklist Action Items in Procore

• Attend and Engage in Estimating Hand Off Meetings for Projects

• Review Drawings, Details, and Request Changes

• Review Specs for the Project and Implement into Design

• Review Contract Scope for Projects

• Attend Project Specific Customer Design Meetings

• Attend Project Specific Internal Design Meetings

• Attend Weekly BIM Coordination Meetings

• Oversee In house Detailers

• Manage Sub-Detailers

• Ownership of Submitting and Managing all RFI’s in Design Stage of Project

• Ownership of Submitting all Drawings Submittals and IFC’s for the Project

• Ownership of Submitting all Cut Lists from the Model to Tekla Powerfab

• Ensure Schedules are met for Submittals and Returns of Submittals

• Ensure Schedules are met for Cut Lists/ABM

• Manage Sub Vendors Scope Specific.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Substantial experience in construction detailing
• Strong technical knowledge of construction detailing, including the ability to read and interpret structural drawings and models
• Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including AISC, AWS, and OSHA
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, engineers, and project managers
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead the detailing process 
• Proficiency in 3D modeling and detailing software, such as Tekla Structures or AutoCAD
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
