RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities for our Detailing Manager include, but are not limited to:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, manage, and hold both remote and in-house team members accountable.
  • Foster a focused, growth-oriented environment where detailers can thrive.
  • Conduct D-10 meetings, assign Rocks, facilitate follow-ups, and lead IDS discussions.
  • Provide mentorship through drawing reviews to support team learning and clarify design intent.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and clear communication.

Project Oversight & Quality Assurance

  • Oversee job assignments, reviewing project requirements before they are distributed to Detailers.
  • Maintain responsibility for final quality checks before jobs are delivered to customers.
  • Coordinate post-delivery follow-ups with the Fabrication team as needed.
  • Stay closely aligned with Detailers on potential change orders and project updates.
  • Manage project scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring timelines and expectations are clear and achievable.

Process Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Create, streamline, and maintain processes and procedures aligned with best practices in detailing and fabrication.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Tekla resources and external contract labor teams (including offshore team members).
  • Collaborate consistently with other departments to ensure alignment and support shared business objectives.

**  This is an onsite, in-person position based in West Haven, Utah  **

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • 3+ years’ experience in the structural steel industry and hands-on experience in steel detailing.
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams of 10 or more.
  • Experience cross-collaborating effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience in maintaining and improving operational processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Teams, and Excel.

Preferred:

  • Familiar with the Tekla Structures tool.
  • Prior work in construction management, particularly with drawings and installation processes.
  • Experience with project management and an understanding of project lifecycles and workflows.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze digital drawings and technical specifications.
  • Experience using Bluebeam software.
  • Experience with CAD software.

Desired:

  • Experience with automation or customizing components in Tekla Structures.
  • Experience working within an EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) environment.
  • Working knowledge of C# (C-Sharp) programming.

SALARY: $75K - $100K

BENEFITS: Medical: employee 1 st year paid to 90%, 1-2 years of service: Spouse or family paid to 45%, 2+ years of service 90% paid for spouse or family, Optical, Dental, telehealth option, AD&D, and short-term disability available, HSA available, Long term disability paid, $50,000 life insurance policy, 401K with employer matching up to 4%, PTO: 2 weeks to over 5 weeks, 7 paid holidays/birthday paid as well, annual COLA adjustment to salary, production bonuses qualified by 2 nd year; paid quarterly thereafter ranging from 7% to 15%
