Job Description
Responsibilities: - Operate the Brewhouse; following recipes and ensuring overall quality of wort, handling and monitoring raw materials usage, taking regular samples and measurements
- Fermentation management; checking temperature, natural carbonation, gravity and pH; dry-hopping; transferring to ageing tanks
- Yeast management; following all procedures for harvesting, pitching, cell concentration and viability checks
- Operate the DE Filter; managing effective dosing rates, and completing monitoring checks and procedures
- Ensure Brewhouse/Cellar/Filtration and tanks CIP & sanitation, and Brewing area housekeeping is completed according to schedule
- Monitor utilities, such as brewing water usage, cleaning water usage, cooling system, steam and air pressure
- Assist with creation and maintenance of SOP’s; maintain accurate records of activities
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations
- Working as part of a team, regular and effective communication
40 hours per week - monthly shift rotation between morning, afternoon and nights. Additional shift allowance provided $3.50 PH nights and $1.00 PH afternoons Skills and Experience: - Previous experience in brewery or degree/diploma in a relevant field is required
- Team player with good communication skills
- Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently
- Physically fit as part of work is standing, climbing stairs/ladder, cleaning and lifting/moving products; often in hot environment
- Available to work various shifts, with some overnights and weekends
